A Model Khadi Institution

                 It was during the decentralisazation of Khadi work in Karnataka State it was felt to establish an organasation in order to help and guide the Khadi Institutions and accordingly Karnataka Khadi Gramodyog Samyukta Sangha (fed) came in existence at Bengeri, Hubli on 1st November 1957 registerred under section 21 of Soceiety Act 1860, Late Shri V.T. Magadi as first Chairman, Shriranga Kamat as Vice-chairman and ofther Gandhians such as Lage H.A. Pai of Ankola, Late Shri P.H. Anant Bhat of Bijapur, Late Shri Jayadevrao Kulkarni of Belgaum, Late B.J. Gokhale of Dharwad, Late Shri Vasudev Rao of Chitradurga, Shri B.H. Inamdar of Raichur joined hands together as member institutions donating a sum of Rs. 10,500/- to initiate the word of federation. Over the Period of time, te sapling planted by there visionariers has grown into a big tree as Khadi Federation taking under its shelter 55 memebers institutions across the state helping and guiding them in their as way ahead.

                 A Recipient of direct loan from Khadi Commission the head office of the federation is situated at Bengeri Hubli. A Sales outlet at Benguluru, Khadi Production and sales centers at Bilgi, Siddapur, Gaddanakeri, Kerur of Bagalkot district are the branches opened at cater to the needs of Public. K.K.G.S.S. (Fed) is holding a property of worth of two crores and engaged in a turnover of Rs. 10 Crores in wholesale, Rs. 1.50 crores in retail sales and over Rs. 50 Lakhs in village industries.

                 Today the federation is ably led by its Rajyotsava award recipient Shri. Nadoja Dr. Patil Puttappa, Ex. Rajyasabha Member M.Sc (Caliofrnia) LLB., D.Litt., as Chairman, Shri V.A Balakundi as Vice-Chaiman and Shri . S.S Mathapati as Secretary. It needless to say that the footprints set by Shri V.T. Magadi are the guiding principles for the Federation

                 Today the Federation has strength of over 100 karyakarthaas dedicating their services to the federation in different capacities. In order to increase and streamline the working of Federation, different sections are formed accordingly to the work.
